A varix may form in a variety of sites including the orbit [varix - orbit]. Different types of varix are recognized. They include the anastomotic varix [varix - anastomotic], aneurysmal varix [varix - aneurysmal], and arterial varix [varix - arterial]. Common sites for venous varices are the distal esophagus and the the lower limbs.
